“Calm yourself with breathing” Drumfire Teambuilding
Drumfire teambuilding has worked in many rehabilitation centres, using its drumming techniques to invigorate and energize its clients. One of the techniques we start with as a top level de-stressor is a breathing technique, called Mantra Breathing.
Bit of “hippy” type term, however, let’s go there becuase it’s so good.
You can do this at your desk, or anywhere you like.
OK so we will be counting through the sections.
Take in air through your nose, all the way down to your “belly” do this over the counting up to 4…eg. 1,2,3,4
HOLD the breath down ther over the counting of 7, eg..1,2,3,4,5,6,7
Release the breath with a gentle hiss, or whoo sound of the count of 8, eg..1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8
AWESOME!
