AUSTRALIAN - Alex Pertout!

Alex is the one of OZ’s leading percussionist, he has reocrded and played with many great artists internationally, including the Australian Art Orchestra, Powderfinger, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

His works can be found in movies and on television, try Crocodile Dundee, and Siam Sunset.

GREAT DRUMMERS! “Drumfire Team Building”

Luis Conte, USA

Luis is a grammy award winner and is  a master percussionist.  He has toured with Madonna, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Backstreet Boys, Ray Charles, and with the Cuban artists Sandoval and Chachao.

He has also toured with Santana, Deline Dion, and Barbara Streisand.

You will find his work on many film soundtracks, sych as Mission Impossible, Rain Man, and the Disney Tarzan.

Luis toured with Phil collins in 2004 and is really worth looking up!!! “Drumfire Teambuilding”

Bass tone - OK so now lets try a rhythm, Booom-Di-Booom! Sing this first, and now put the Bass tone  technique into practice, first try the rhythm with the Left hand , and now the right hand, and finally do the “Boooms” with the right hand and the “Di” with the left hand, off you go!!!!!!Drumfire Teambuilding

Bass tone - some exercises for you to do - alternate the left hand and now right hand, one stroke for each hand, now try 3 strokes per hand, and sing the energy as you go, 123, 123, 123, 123, - well done!  Drumfire Teambuilding.

Bass tone - Now there may be a little shoulder movement, but primarily the elbow will control the bass stroke movement.

So lets have a go, right in the centre of the drum - Nice!

Bass tone - The wrist and the forearm will form one line, the hand will perform a bouncing movement, do not be tempted to slap the drum head, as this is not right, think of bounce - Drumfire Teambuilding.
